    4U Playground:
The Playground program is for kids 3 years old. AYSO Playground uses group activities, soccer themes and parent participation to develop the fundamental motor skills that prepare kids for all sports. There are no formal teams, and the environment is non-competitive. Parent participation is expected in assisting the UK Coaches to run this program. This program is available in Fall and Spring Seasons and registration for these programs follow the fall and spring registration schedules.

    5U Schoolyard:
The Schoolyard program exposes 4 year olds to soccer, and teaches them the basics such as kicking and dribbling, all in a low-pressure setting with one on one parent participation. Sessions are divided into segments with focus on drills and ending with a friendly scrimmage. There are no formal teams, and the environment is non-competitive. Parent participation is expecting in assisting the UK Coaches to run this program. This program is available in Fall and Spring Seasons and registration for these programs follow the fall and spring registration schedules.

    Fall Core Season:
The Fall Core season is AYSO’s primary recreational soccer program running from September through November. The Core program spans the 6U to 19U age divisions. Players are separated by gender and placed onto balanced teams. Team size and rules vary by age group to support player development. There are 1-2 practices per week with a trained volunteer coach and games are played on Saturdays. For 10U and older there are tournaments at the end of the season for more advanced play Registration for the Fall Season is between March and June preceding the Fall Season. Adult Volunteers functioning as coaches and referees are required to make this program work; primarily the parents/guardians fill these roles, but any adult volunteer who passes the background check and receives mandatory AYSO training may participate.

    Spring Season:
The Spring Season (March through May) offers a non-competitive program focused on developing age-appropriate motor and coordination skills, development of basic soccer skills, techniques, and better understanding of the game with friendly scrimmages to put those learned skills to use. It is referred to as “Jamboree Style” play, and there are no formal teams with individual coaches. The program is typically run by the UK Coaches that Foster City AYSO contracts with UK International Soccer to hire. The atmosphere is laid-back, and focused on having fun while learning critical skills to become a better soccer player. All skill levels are accommodated. It’s an excellent way to introduce a child to soccer who has not played before, but also an excellent way for more experienced players to maintain and improve the skills learned during the fall season and gain new skills. Children are divided into groups by age and gender (some groups are co-ed), and have a “Game Day” every Saturday with an optional clinic available during the week reinforce skills learned on Saturdays and learn new skills. Parents are expected to help support the UK coaches, especially in the younger age-groups, and help rearrange field set-ups between sessions. Registration for the Spring Season typically begins in January preceding the start of the season.

    Winter Select:
Winter Select is a competitive program among teams from AYSO Area 2N Regions, including Hillsborough, San Mateo, Burlingame, Foster City, Belmont, Redwood City, San Carlos and Half Moon Bay. Winter Select is available for divisions 10U and older. The season runs from early January through late February. Participation in the winter program is by invitation only.

AYSO United Bay Area Club Program:
The United Club is AYSO’s newest program. This is a competitive program which requires try-outs and an invitation to join. Usually, players begin with the AYSO Core program to develop basic skills, and more advanced players with a keen interest in further soccer development try-out for the Club program.  For more information, please visit https://www.aysounitedbayarea.org/

    Adult League:
FC AYSO offers co-ed adult league play in fall and spring.  Teams play every Saturday afternoon; there are no coaches and no practices during the week. The focus is on providing an opportunity for adults of any skill level to play games against each other in a fun and (slightly) competitive environment.
